CRITICAL ALERTS!

HB19-1177 has passed the House Judiciary Committee on will be voted upon by the full House February 22d.

The “Red Flag” law being considered in Colorado allows any family member, current or former dating partner, recent roommate, or law enforcement officer to allege that an individual--who has committed no crime--is a danger to himself/herself or others in an emergency petition that can lead to confiscation of the individual’s firearms and preclude him/her from possessing or purchasing a firearm for a year, with unlimited renewals subsequently—all without due process afforded to even indicted criminals.

HB19-1032 will mandate public school sexual education to include LGBT "relational or sexual experiences." The bill also prohibits "gender norms" from being used in the curriculum. The bill creates a lopsided "oversight board" to enforce the new curriculum elements. Click here for more details.

Legislators must hear from parents and citizens who oppose this attempt at forcing LGBT to be taught as the new norms.

The bill has cleared the House Education and Insurance Committee and will soon be heard by the House Appropriations Committee and the entire House.

Your letters and phone calls are critically needed to let Colorado House members know that you expect them to abide by the US Constitution, the Colorado Constitution and the electorate of Colorado.

PLEASE contact them and pass this on to you entire email list and all friends and social media contacts. This is critical.

If you're not sure what to say in the email, feel free to copy and paste the text below as a start:

"I am truly disappointed at your recent "YES" vote to "share" City tax dollars with private developers through the Urban Renewal Authority in the 'Costilla & Tejon' or the 'Museum-Park' urban renewal areas. As citizens, we supported your request for more tax dollars with Issue 2C and 2A. You have failed to earn the trust voters placed in you and protect our tax dollars. These TIF agreements will take tax dollars collected in an area that is capable of developing on its own in a free market and deprives critical City functions of the tax dollars in favor of subsidizing private development. This is a betrayal."

Voted to approve taxes for private development:
